Release 200.007.000

Release 200.007.000 of our purchase requisition workflow maxflow® procurement was completed and published in May 2021. In addition to the following functions, various small changes and corrections were also made.

Automatic Approval with "Four-Eye-Principle"

In the configuration of approval levels and approval levels per item type, the setting for additional release has been expanded to include the option "automatic - "four-eye-principle"". This option allows an automatic additional release taking into account the "four-eye-principle". If an editor has already released at the previous level and there is no other releaser, this user may not release this level. However, if at least one other user has already released and the releaser of the last stage is also determined for the current stage, the current approval level is automatically released.

Monitor - Selection by Processing Period

As of this release, selection by processing period is available on the selection screen of the maxflow® procurement monitor. The processing period can be used to restrict the selection to actual activities on processes. With this selection, the entries of the process logs are searched according to the specified period.

Monitor - Selection by Position Short Text

In the selection screen of the maxflow® procurement monitor, it is possible to select according to item short texts. However, this selection is too limited in most cases due to the exact check of upper and lower case. Therefore we have implemented an additional field for the selection of position short texts independent of upper and lower case.

Logging Approval by Small Amount Rule

In the case of automatic release by means of small amount rules, it was previously not possible to identify exactly which small amount rule was used as the basis for release, either in the process log or in the release history. If several or overlapping small amount rules were used, it was difficult to check the automatic release. Therefore, the logging of the release was adapted and the rule was added to both the process log and the release history. In addition, the display of the item status text in the table of items, e.g. in the release and in the document details, was adapted and now also contains further information on automatic releases by small amount rules or system releases.

Optimization S/4HANA Compatibility

With the new version 2020 of SAP S/4 HANA, some changes were made to central components of the SAP system, such as the extension of amount fields or the material number and modified accesses to document data. To check the compatibility of add-on modules, SAP provides check functions in the Source Code Inspector (SCI) that identify potentially problematic code passages. To optimize the compatibility of maxflow® procurement with the current S/4 HANA version 2020, these corresponding check functions were run through and problematic code points were adjusted.

Further Optimizations

  • An additional validation of the delivery date was added to the check routines.
  • New F4 helps on plant, purchasing organization and purchasing group.
  • Both for manual agent selection and agent determination check, the integrated note display has been added.
